Pay attention to this group.  I noticed them before purchasing an iPhone actually.  They presently offer only 2 Apps but this is certain to change.

Their ClearCam takes multiple shots and stacks them somehow to make an image 2x the native pixel size in the camera.  Trials with my iPhone4 produce 11.2 mp images and they're good.  It had been a "Jailbroken" only App but they've gotten their iPhone4 version through the Apple qualification process. It's on sale for $.99 which is $9.00 less than the jailbroken cost a year ago.  The App will also quickly take 3 images compare sharpness and save the sharpest one.  Not a bad feature particularly in lower light.

Their other App, RedLaser is free...I love free.  This App reads barcodes and has the capability to comparison shop the item read.  This is evidently the only iPhone barcode reader which works without add-ons like lenses etc.  I've tried it twice, it's fast and accurate.

My Stella

My Grand daughter Stella is a real kick in the pants.  Very aggressively "I can do it better than you can" but,  when she turns on the charm... just wow.

VintBW does perhaps the best job with B&W images.  This image was also run through 3 other Apps.  PerfectlyClr, Filterstorm (lighten shadows & town down highlights) and Photogene (crop and border).

Shadows, Lakewold Gardens, Tacoma WA

As we get our fair share of overcast days here, harsh shadows are seldom an issue.  Today in Lakewold Gardens at 1:00pm, sun as close to directly overhead as it gets I was quite taken by the almost lifelike shapes of the shadows.  3GS, Hipstamatic, Black keys-Ultrachrome.

Seattle streets & Hipstamatic

I often enjoy old time photo effect.   Hipstamatic seems to do a good job with this style.

World Cup

World-Cup Alley, Pioneer Square, Seattle.  A U-Haul truck, large screen TV, several rows of canvas seats. The alleyway filled for every game.  The crowds always seemed to be evenly split.  I'm not a big fan but the excitement of those who are was sure fun to share.
